Etsy Processing Times

Etsy now insist on strict processing and delivery times, and failure to comply will ensure the seller is punished. The seller loses points under the Etsy star system. What this now means in reality is I am having to request that buyers have all items required to create their record ready or nearly ready at the time of purchase. In other words, all designs for the cover, labels and the music choices must be sent within the time stated on the listing page at time of purchase (see example above). Unfortunately, orders will be cancelled on the final day if everything hasn't been received. This is solely to avoid MoonVinyl being punished.

The listing page does explain what is required for an order, and this blog will attempt to help further.

Look for the estimated arrival information area on the Etsy listing. An example for UK customers is below.

"Order Placed" is the date you purchased the record.

"Order Dispatches" is the MoonVinyl 5-7 working day timeframe monitored by Etsy.

"Delivered" is the mail service estimate for delivery. For UK customers, the first class delivery option should be faster than the default 2nd class shown in the example below.

Help with cover, label and music requirements for your record.

Music: 1. You can send your music files in two ways: i) Send your files via email or file transfer service. Popular file transfer services include transfernow.net, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox etc. Most popular sound file formats are fine to send. The most common files types are WAV, FLAC, m4a and mp3. True WAV and FLAC files should be the best quality and will make a better sounding record. mp3 is used a lot in orders, and can be OK sounding at the higher bitrates (320kps). I cannot use Apple Music files or playlists . The files won't play due to copyright protection, even though you own them! ii) If you aren't able to send your music as files (not everybody has the tech to do this) you may send a playlist link of your chosen songs from your music provider, e.g. Spotify.
